History and CultureEdit
They were created by a meeting of the pagan deities Ares and Harmonia, creating a tribe of warrior women who had no need for males, except for reproduction. At some point they had a war, and their numbers were vastly depleted, as such they made a deal with Harmonia to save them from extinction, and she made them more than human, effectively turning them into monsters. Unlike most other monsters, they are not descended from Eve and thus have no Alpha.
In the present day, the descendants of the original amazons, having moved to America at some point, starting mating in Miami and then Chicago, causing a series of deaths. In 2011 they began again; this led to the creation of Emma, when one Amazon, Lydia mated with Dean Winchester.
The brothers were able to kill Charlene Penn, an amazon, detective at Seattle Police Departement, and Emma, but the other Amazons fled before they could find them.
Tradition is very important to them. After mating, the child created must kill their father as a sign of initiation, they do this by first cutting off his limbs, and carving a symbol into his chest, before killing them. Children were taken to learn on the day of their birth, there they are trained and tortured to make them strong. Before their initiation, they have a mark burned into their skin.
Powers and WeaknessesEdit
- Super Strength - Amazons have superhuman strength, enough to throw a grown man through a wall and overpower and rip apart fully grown humans without effort or strain.
- Rapid Aging - They matured incredibly fast. The women becoming pregnant hours after intercourse and giving birth, hours after that, the child continued to mature, growing to late teens only two days after birth. Once they reach 16, their aging process becomes normal.
- Mortality - Despite all their supernatural features, they are mortal and they can be killed as easily as a normal human, proved when Sam shot Charlene Penn and his niece Emma dead with an ordinary gun.
