The waitress is first shown serving food to Sam Winchester. Another customer, Billy, comes in and steals someone else's food. Knowing Billy, she asks him if his mother raised him in a barn. Billy's rude behavior doesn't subside and the waitress asks what is bothering him.
Billy answers that his mother, her, and Sam are bothering him. Billy then knocks a glass of water over, much to the waitress' annoyance. When the waitress tells Billy she is going to call his mother so she can pick him up, Billy retaliates by grabbing a knife and stabs the waitress in the hand with it. Sam rushes over and tackles Billy, who is promptly arrested. Sam also helps the injured waitress.
