When Marshall Hall dies of a heart attack around the time Dean receives healing from reverend Roy Le Grange, Dean suspects foul play and asks Sam to investigate.
Sam visits the swimming pool Marshall frequented and speaks with Jason. Jason describes Marshall as someone who seemed healthy and swam everyday. He also added that Marshall didn't smoke, which made the heart attack seem bizarre.
According to Jason, Marshall had freaked out and began running shortly before he collapsed. Marshall acted like something was after him. Jason doubted there was anything.
Sam accepted the information and was about to leave, when he noticed the clock was busted. Jason admitted that he was unable to fix the clock, which Sam correctly deduced had stopped at the exact time Marshall died. Jason was surprised that Sam knew this.
