Misha Collins, born Dmitri Tippens Krushnic, plays the character Castiel in the series Supernatural.
He also played a version of himself in the Season 6 episode The French Mistake and Jimmy Novak in the Season 4 episode The Rapture and Season 10 episode Angel Heart.
He also directed the Season 9 episode Mother's Little Helper.
In Season 11, he plays the archangel Lucifer in at least three episodes.
Background
Collins is an American actor who has appeared in episodes of 24, NCIS and ER, as well as the movies Par 6 and Karla. He also had a starring role in the made-for-television movie Stonehenge Apocalypse, where he played scientist Jacob Glaser. He is also a regular user of Twitter and has dubbed his followers his "minions".
Collins has also spent time in Russia and has also successfully mastered the accent which gave him an edge when he played the assassin Alexis Drazen on 24.
