Steven Shoemaker was the first victim of the murderous ghost antagonist Mary Worthington and was the widowed father of the two daughters Donna Shoemaker and Lily Shoemaker.

Steven was responsible for his wife, Linda's death, who supposedly died of overdosing. He worked and lived with his two daughters in Toledo, Ohio. He was killed by Bloody Mary in Bloody Mary after his younger daughter unintentionally summoned Bloody Mary by saying her name thrice in the downstairs bathroom mirror. The name etched in the ghostly plasmic blood of Mary Worthington on the mirror he died in front of was Linda Shoemaker. His daughters held a funeral for him and gathered acquaintances in the family home.[1]
